Description and Basic Information ::

This is the best place to see all your favorite Disney characters. Camp Minnie-Mickey is set up much like a summer-camp in the Adirondacks. The park features a selection of trails that lead visitors to their favorite Disney characters who sit and sign autographs for their fans. The setting is relaxed and offers a good opportunity for parents to get off their feet.
Characters are spread out so you must follow a particular trail to get to them. For example, the Jungle Trail will lead you to characters from The Lion King and The Jungle Book. It’s not too hard to figure out, but watch out for deceptively long lines.
Besides meeting the characters, the biggest attraction in Camp Minnie-Mickey is The Festival of the Lion King. The show is a “must see” attraction. Performed in the round, this musical performance combines costumed dancers and puppetry in a truly spectacular show.
A third attraction at Camp Minnie-Mickey is Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends. This attraction gets somewhat overshadowed by its neighbors, but the Colors of the Wind show is worth a peek, especially for the kids. The show features Pocahontas and a variety of live animals. |
