Formerly known as Countdown to Extinction, DINOSAUR sends you back 65 million years in time. Your mission: travel back in time, find a specific dinosaur and return to the present before a meteor shower destroys the face of the earth. Simple, right? As in almost every mission or experiment in Disney, something goes awry (but, of course, everybody makes it back safely).
During the 10-minute mission, your jeep crashes through the brush, eludes hungry dinosaurs and makes it back just in the nick of time. Fabulous special effects and huge animatronic figures make this ride very exciting. The ride is also a bit rougher than the average ride at the Animal Kingdom. You whip around corners, stop short and peel out during this adventure, so hang on tight. It’s probably too intense for small children, but preteens and older will love it. Along with “It’s tough to be a Bug,” DINOSAUR is the best ride in Animal Kingdom. |
