Discovery Cove, located adjacent to SeaWorld Orlando, is an amazing interactive tropical adventure park, which allows guests to swim and play with dolphins, snorkel through coral reefs with tropical fish, touch and feed exotic birds, and relax on beaches surrounded by exotic pools and waterfalls.
Discovery Cove is no ordinary theme park with droves of parents and kids waiting in line to experience a few minutes of fun. This tropical paradise is an all-day experience without any crowds whatsoever. That’s because the park admits fewer than 1,000 guests per day. Reservations are required specifically to avoid crowds, ensuring a stress-free environment both for you and the animals. In addition to the dolphins, Discovery Cove is home to thousands of exotic fish, rays, colorful birds, mammals and reptiles. About six to eight hours is recommended for guests to explore all of the animal activities. Unlike the theme-park atmosphere of SeaWorld, Discovery Cove focuses on personal, one-on-one encounters with the animals in a tropical setting.
Admission to the park is $179 plus tax. It includes a 90-minute swim with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins and unlimited access to the swimming and snorkeling areas as well as the aviary. A meal, snorkeling equipment, lockers and other amenities are also included. Reserving a day at Discovery Cove also gets you parking privileges and a seven-day pass to SeaWorld Orlando.
