The Hollywood neighborhood at Universal Studios brings Tinseltown to life, with art deco storefronts, palm-lined streets and a variety of attractions. Hollywood also is home to one of the more unique restaurants at Universal – Mel’s Drive-in. Located at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and 8th Avenue, Mel’s is a flashy 1950s eatery featuring a selection of muscle cars as décor and a roving doo-wop group for entertainment.
Attractions in Hollywood include everything from the thrilling to the gory to the commemorative. Perhaps the most popular attraction in the area, Terminator 2 is a 3-D spectacle of high-tech cinematography and computer composite graphics combined with live actors and props on stage. The Gory, Gruesome& Grotesque Horror Make-up Show gives visitors a behind-the-scenes look at how all that gory goodness was created in some of Hollywood’s most frightening motion pictures. Pay tribute to one of the funniest women ever to appear on television at Lucy: A Tribute. As you might guess, this attraction features a wide array of memorabilia and more about Lucille Ball and her career as an actress. |
